Rev Eddie Jordan, Pastor-Elect of the New Light Missionary Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas, has been a member and Assistant Pastor for ten years. 

     He is Vice-President of the Progressive West Texas

Missionary Baptist Training Union Congress, former  Sunday School Department teacher and Asst. Dean as well as Dean of Congress of the Progressive West Texas Missionary Baptist Sunday School and Baptist Training Union Congress.

       He is a former United States Air Force Officer, former pastor of the Royal Oaks Gospel Church, Madrid, Spain, former pastor of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hamlin, Texas, former employee with the Abilene Independent School District (AISD), father of one daughter and one son, a native of Coila, Mississippi, and a resident of Abilene for fifteen years. 

     He is currently serving as 1st Vice-President of The Greater Abilene Ministers Alliance, Abilene, Texas where he also served as secretary and treasurer.

     Pastor-Elect earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts from Mississippi Valley State University, Itta Bena, Mississippi, and a Master of Theology degree from New World Theological Seminary where he is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Theology degree.  He is the author of an incentive Program called "Super Stars for Christ", and the host of the television program "Impact Word" a weekly study in God's word televised on Saturday night midnight on channel 6 Fox or channel 54 for the last two years.  in 1992 he was selected to Outstanding Young Men of America.
